Get Ready for Gala 2011

Bishop Fenwick Crimson & Gold Gala Committee Announces 2011 Event

The Bishop Fenwick Crimson & Gold Gala Committee is pleased to announce its 2011 event – “Buon Cibo, Buon Vino, Buoni Amici,” which translated means, “Good Food, Good Wine, Good Friends.” The Italian-themed Gala, to be held on April 9, serves as the school’s grand fundraising event, which helps to provide additional resources needed to offer an exceptional educational experience to our students.

Serving as chairpersons for the event are Margaret Umberger and Becky Ishee. Supporting them are subcommittee chairpersons Connie Lawless (Auction), Ruth Bendel (Sales), Saundra Pearce (Gifts), Michelle Koehlke (Catalog), Beth Fess (Theme), Julie McEwan (Public Relations) and Daphne Eldridge (Past Chair).

The committee encourages you to mark your calendars now for a night that promises to be magnifico! Guests will be transported to Little Italy as they arrive for the evening and dine on Italian delicacies, in addition to bidding on fabulous live and silent auction items.

When It Comes to Great Gifts, Are You “In the Know?”

Bishop Fenwick’s Crimson & Gold Gala Committee is looking for those people who always seem to know where to find just the perfect gift!

In preparation for the 2011 Gala, we could use your help in rounding up a variety of gifts to complete more than 150 fabulous gift packages/baskets.

Perhaps you have access to sports memorabilia or college/professional team sports tickets, or know a retailer who is willing to donate some high-end electronics. Perhaps you know a service provider who would be interested in donating painting, landscaping or personal training. What about a restaurant that you visit frequently and would feel comfortable asking for a dinner-for-four certificate? Are you tight with a local jeweler or professional photographer? Maybe you know someone who owns a car dealership and would be willing to donate the lease of a sports car or have a neighbor who has a time share.

You get the idea. We need your ideas and assistance with gift gathering to support the live and silent auction portions of the 2011 Crimson & Gold Gala, “Buon Cibo, Buon Vino, Buoni Amici” – “Good Food, Good Wine, Good Friends.” Funds raised from this event support Bishop Fenwick’s education initiatives.
